Ten Abodes 十住品 part1

爾時，法慧菩薩承佛威力，入菩薩無量方便三昧。以三昧力，十方各千佛剎微塵數世界之外，有千佛剎微塵數諸佛，皆同一號，名曰法慧，普現其前，告法慧菩薩言：善哉！善哉！善男子！汝能入是菩薩無量方便三昧。善男子！十方各千佛剎微塵數諸佛，悉以神力共加於汝。又是毘盧遮那如來往昔願力、威神之力，及汝所修善根力故，入此三昧，令汝說法。為增長佛智故，深入法界故，善了眾生界故，所入無礙故，所行無障故，得無等方便故，入一切智性故，覺一切法故，知一切根故，能持說一切法故，所謂：發起諸菩薩十種住。善男子！汝當承佛威神之力而演此法。
At that moment, Fa-hui Bodhisattva [1]was conferred with the supreme might of Buddhas, entering the Samadhi of Bodhisattva Infinite Expediency(菩薩無量方便三昧). By means of this Samadhi, beyond thousands of Buddhas’ lands or worlds in the ten directions, there appeared in front of him were Buddhas as numerous as particles in one thousand Buddhalands: all those Buddhas had the same name—Fa-hui. They told to Fa-hui Bodhisattva, “Very well! Very well! What a man who can enter the Samadhi of Infinite Expediency! Benevolent man! This is due to the fact that in the ten directions, Buddhas as many as particles in one thousand buddhalands all confer you with their supreme might, besides, due to the power of Varirocana Tathagata’s vows in ancient time and his supreme might together with the power of kind roots you have cultivated. These make you enter the state of Samadhi to preach this Dharma, aiming at improving your wisdom to be equal to a Buddha, entering further into the Dharma Realm, knowing well the realms of sentient beings, being free from noetic hindrances, acting without the afflictive hindrances, gaining incomparable expediency, attaining complete wisdom, perceiving all sorts of Dharma, realizing all roots, being able to uphold and preach every Dharma by all means. That is to say, to arise ten abodes of every bodhisattva. Benevolent man! You should preach this Dharma under the supreme might conferred by Buddhas.
[1] “Fa” equals to 法in Chinese which means Dharma; “Hui” equals to 慧 in Chinese which means profound prajna(wisdom). Therefore, Fa-hui Bodhisattva is obviously the one with profound wisdom so that he is the most ideal one who are able to help bodhisattvas in the practice of ten abodes, aiming at attaining full realization.
